Governor Sanwo-Olu's 'Mr Governor' Trends On Twitter by ebukajay184: 7:05am On Nov 07, 2019
IgbereTV reports that the change of title by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State from 'His Excellency' to 'Mr Governor', has drawn mixed reactions from Lagosians and Nigerians. While some see the title change as unnecessary, some others think it is a good development, whereas some others made jokes with it

Yesterday Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu wrote on Twitter:

"Good evening Lagos. Your Excellency is a nice title that has been used to signify authority, position in government, authoritarian disposition, executive arrogance, and a demi-god mystique. Today, I wish to drop the title and to embrace a more representative one; Mr. Governor."

On Twitter the title change by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is trending with #MrGovernor
