Re: "Kehinde Lijadu Died and NOT Taiwo Lijadu"

Kehinde Lijadu
Born: September 18, 1948 - Died: 9 November 2019 (aged 71)

OK... I have to pay my respects as well right here and now...

The Lijadu Sisters song "Danger" and "Come on Home",
Miriam Makeba's "Pata Pata" 1967 classic, and Ofege's
"Whizzy Ilabo", Sir Victor Uwaifo's "Joromi" [and more] which
were very popular tracks that got played openly on the streets
of 1970s Lagos and other major Nigerian cities, still teleport
me back in time and space... a very mystical and surreal feeling.

I wish her surviving twin... Taiwo and the rest of the
family... and also all the lovers of great music who were
influenced by them the fortitude to bear the physical
absence of the 71-year-old Kehinde Lijadu.

P.S. Hello to you @Naptu2. You have to change the headline
or title of this thread so that folks don't get misled, it is Kekinde Lijadu
that passed on in the U.S. from cancer and not Taiwo Lijadu. I included
2 international sources for you to confirm this.

I actually found this Nairaland post of yours on the first page of Google
while searching for some quick info on the Lijadu sisters. The Tribune
journalist whose article you used did NOT carry out due diligence or
get his facts right before publishing the article which is very unwise
and and shows poor work ethics on the part of that journalist.

He even wrote in that Tribune newspaper that she passed on from
high blood pressure when in actual fact it was cancer that led to
her demise and a GoFund me had to be created for her cancer
treatment.

All the best.
