Why I Stop Football Betting by benhope222: 4:24pm On Nov 09, 2019
When I was young , I hate anything related to gamble . since bet9ja and other betting platform was introduced in Nigeria . I was tempted to venture into soccer betting as a way of income since 5 year's now . it didn't work for work me I lost heavily always bitter every weekend when 1 or 2 games will cut my ticket . Gamble gonna change your mind and thinking . most of the times you wonder if you're been attack by village people or someone you offend curse you .. 2015 when my mom knew I was into gamble stuff's she warned seriously that it's bad . Gamble gave a false Hope that I'm gonna win and be Rich so I can live the life that i dream .. my main aim of gambling was to make my Mom proud . soccer betting rendered me useless to extent I'm always thinking about teams. always upset. last 3 months I lost my Mom I have to put stop to it since she is the main reason I'm gambling , I wanted to win Big so I can surprise her.. Thank God I'm now reasonable , I have been managing my money well . nothing is bothering me unlike before I'm always on Live soccer. There's no successful Gambler if you're not careful that million you won , you gonna lose it on the long run . Past Glory . Betting made people not to trust me ..

So sorry for your loss, can definitely understand what it meant by losing a loved one! Lost my mum some years back so can identify with you.
Sport betting sucks, tried quitting several times but find my way back to this dreadful habit, sport betting had made me so broke a couple of times, I pray I finally put a end to this terrible addiction of mine.

I would bro, thanks for your encouragement to stop, I had tried to stop severally only to find myself back to it, it sucks I must tell you, would be getting married by December, I had already confided to my intending wife about my sport betting addiction and promised to stop, it would take a while but I would definitely stop, can't be a responsible married man and also be engaging in sport betting....
I also need alternate sources of income to finally put a stop to it, having to wait till the end of the month to earn was what motivated me to this shit in the 1st place....
I wish you all the best in your resolute to quit gambling, it's the best decision you would ever make aside accepting Christ.

sorry for your loss. but some of you guys venture into these things without a rational mindset.
there are rules in gambling which some of us learnt when we were small.
1. A good Gambler knows when to quit.
2. Always bet with the amount you can afford to lose.
3. Don't chase your loss.
4. Remove greed from betting.
5. Don't bet with your emotions.
And the list goes on and on...

However, I am of the opinion that for you to win big in betting, you need to have big capital (must not be in millions).
You obviously wanted to win big, and these are the type of people the bookies like. they will show you a ticket of 100 that won 40million but won't show you 50k that won 60k. it's only if it's a loss you see it. they know what they are doing.

I will never advice someone to bet because I've realized how irrational people can be

100naira to win 10k is very rare but 10k to win 12k is easier.
There is a report that only about 1-3% of punters are making profit. You can choose where to belong.
That said, the house always wins.

NB: I have been betting since the days of nairastake, no heavy loss, little profit. I prefer little to nothing.

Betting is just like an habbit
It's either you control it or u allow it to control you.
If you take sport bet as a get rich quick scheme, then you will be addicted to it.
But if you take it as business then you will control it.
I used to tell people sport bet can fetch you money if you have patience and know how to predict.
But you can still lose your money like you can still lose on any business.
I'm an Arsenal fan and I know how much arsenal alone has fetched me this season.

6 years of me gambling, I can painfully say it has done my life more harm than good. 1.02 & 1.01 have repeatedly bashed my betslip both live-betting, virtual and normal betting are complete waste of time and money.

I staked 80K on leicester to beat arsenal straight win with the odd of 2.10, it's means I'm not biased, would you have done that? You would have staked on arsenal win or draw because you are a fan, or you leave the banker ber..
Bet team based on form and the reality of the odd given.
Dont bet by name or by small odd.

See a lot of people who want to stop betting but at the same time betting companies like the ones listed on https://nga-online-betting.org become more and more popular so it looks like people still enjoy betting.

I think that sports betting is a good way to make money online. As for me, I am using https://hoopsbetz.com/ which helps to know a lot about the sport, to make additional cash and just to have some fun. Sport is a very interesting way to relax and to know a lot of things.

The way I'm stingy to gambling now is unbelievable.
These days I can't even risk my 100 Naira again unlike before that I can drop my last card for bet9ja.
God is wonderful.

First time I learnt about sports betting was in my junior secondary school, it was yet to be fully digitised like today, I think I was in Jss2/3 and the stakes was written on a paper , a classmate of mine introduced me to it. - c.2006

As a young person, I think the highest I won then was N600 and I lost a lot of money N20/N50 etc as a young boy

Fast forward to uni days when it started becoming a thing and you could find a shop almost anywhere, although I was really given to my studies and that didn’t afford me the luxury to be a bettor. Nonetheless, in 200L first semester, I was given my school fees early and I thought of no better way to invest the money than in sports betting, your guess is as good as mine, I lost my school fees to it and somehow managed to recover it through a friend’s help, of course , not through betting !!!

That experience my friend, was deterrent enough and I haven’t placed a bet ever since, I’ve come to understand the virtue of hard work and real economic contributions to earn and not just some quick get rick quick schemes, one of the many reasons I didn’t even do the infamous MMM.

Just make a decision to stop, get your mind busy with other things, get a brick phone w/o internet in the interim and always remind yourself that sports bet rarely make millionaires, and yes, it make more people impoverished than wealthy- Check the stats !!!!

Get to work bro
