ukukaegbu: Bro, the Nigerian team's qualification into the semifinal stage can only be determined by the team itself and no other. All they need to do is to defeat South Africa. A win by both Nigeria and cote d'ivoire would lead to both teams having six(6) points each, enough to qualify them both for semi final, thereby leaving S.A and Zambia with 4 & 1 points respectively. The head to head situation would only come into play if both games (CIV vs Zam and RSA vs NIG) end in a draw, thereby leaving cote d'ivoire and Nigeria on four points each. The most interesting thing about the group is that any of the teams can still qualify (Zambia inclusive) and the team on the top of the log (RSA) can still be sent packing 1 Like |

otokx: The Super Eagles of yore weren't like that, bro. Look how they took Bulgaria and Greece apart in their first World Cup games. Mehn they even went ahead in the games against favourites, Argentina and Italy, in that same Mundial. It's a recent 'culture' that needs to be discarded. |

Excellergroup: Oh, that's true. I didn't think of that. We may only have issues if we fail to win against SA. Thanks. 1 Like |

godwon01: This is very rare at U23 level. At this stage we are looking at established professionals. I know corruption strives in Nigeria football but from this level you can't just take a bunch of rookies to Olympics. 1 Like |

ukukaegbu:We don't have to, If we beat South Africa we would be on 6 points thus eliminating them and if CIV wins they would be on 6 points thus eliminating Zambia.. That means we and CIV qualifies.. |
