Most people are very depressed and we don't see depression as sickness. They will always tell you to will it away. Your situation is not the worst etc compounding instead of solving the problems.

A mother today killed her 3 children in Awo Idemili, Imo State.

According to her mother in-law, the woman in question told her husband Emeka Ajoihe to go for a vigil while she stays at home with the children and immediately the husband left for the vigil  she locked the door.

Before the husband could return from vigil at about 12pm,she has stabbed her 5 to 6 month baby,her 2yr old daughter and 3yr old daughter.

The baby boy of 5 to 6 months and the second daughter were already dead when he came back but the third daughter was rushed to the hospital.

Unconfirmed reports say that the third daughter has also died

It is the spirit of women of nowadays, she wants to be free to continue her prostitution.

We should be asking why she did that,
I know she did something terrible but we can't just blast her before knowing all the story,

I fear that region no be small

There is need for the federal government to invest heavily in fighting depression around southeastern Nigeria. There is too much of insanity, despair and suicidal though in the region. The terror has now killed her three innocent biological children and some of her fellows here are trying to shift the blame to devil or economic austerity.

The poverty and different mouths to feed, was too much for her Brain to get used to.

That should not be enough reason for her to murder her own children, where is the love. I doubt if she's sane.

This is strange, was she okay at all, a normal human being won't do that.

She should be properly checked to know if she has a mental health challenge.

One fact I have come to realize in life is that right from the day you're born into this world, you become a candidate of death which no one knows how and when it's gonna happen.

The animals we kill daily for consumption claiming we are higher animal and that God said we have Dominion over them (Says men not God). I can only but imagine them saying "Your own death is as close to you as mine"

Mental illness. They would have claimed she is possessed or one person in the village is doing her. But this woman was mentally ill. Probably post partum depression because she just had a baby.

I guess you're right. But I simply can't reconcile how a mother would do this. Even with mental health issues.

Mothers have been known to kill their children in the past.

In this case, one can’t even dismiss the possibility of postpartum depression adding to the imbalance that’s obviously already in place. It’s a recipe for disaster.
