Haba Bro... grin Fuel to 1K per litre and we won't complain because of stable light?? Then what happens to cars and pedestrians who will start paying more for Public transport as a result.... I don't know for u oO, but as for me and other Nigerians, we will surely shout and protest grin
I added transport to it. In most developed countries, a large population patronise public transportation even tbough they have cars. Public transports are affordable and they don't increase prices indiscriminately as in Nigeria even when fuel prices increase. There are mayors in America who use public transport because they feel they can't manage the cost of maintaining their personal cars. Nothing wrong with that.

U will not understanding what's going on peeps. The Petro stations are only selling fuel to black markers who transport it at night in jerricans to Niger Republic and Benin. Boys are hitting it big now with the closure of the land border. Imagine a black marker willing to pay 250 per litter from the station and selling for 450 and 500 at when it gets to Benin republic... Lol and u expect the filling stations to sell fuel to local Man for 145?

All these are still traceable to leadership failure. If there is stable power supply and good public transport system, the effects of fuel price increase or scarcity won't be felt much. An alternative will be to board public transportation which is even cheaper if somebody can't afford fuel price increase. You won't even need generators to power homes and businesses if power is stable. These are reasons why Nigerians are so dependent on fuel- to power generator and for transportation. If govt can solve these two problems, even if govt increase fuel prices to N1,000 per litre, most Nigerians will not complain.

1.There is bad power supply because most Nigerians and their government don't pay their power bills, and because the power bill itself is by law 30% of the acutal cost of power.

2.The above no 1 also prevents DISCOS and GENCOS from getting financing ....which currently leaves them in the hole for N4 trillion naira.

3.You can abuse me of blaming the masses. But then again, can one run a business without people paying for the stuff she is selling??

4.Fuel subsides are also preventing people from building more refinereis (and the only reason why we have Dangote building one is because the banks have agreed to give him loans...) This in turn affects our power supply (eg gas issues).

5.Plus you people vote for the same old bad leaders in Apc and Pdp, and expect miracles?? Like now, Kogites are about to revote their poor performing governor again. After 4 years of useless governance.

It's obvious you don't know that the fuel scarcity isn't because fuel is scarce, it's because of the closure of borders.

If you are conversant with borderlines in states like Katsina and Sokoto, you'd realise that most filling stations over there are built mainly for the purpose of smuggling oil to other countries.

How do you explain having like 10 filling stations in a village where you can count the numbers of plying vehicles per hour?

So "most filling stations over there are built mainly for the purpose of smuggling oil to other countries" and d govt didn't close down d filling stations and arrest d perpetrators for economic sabotage? Why?

you are not correct. 1. If the power distibution companies bring a bill of what we TRULY consumed, at least 95% of Nigerians will be willing to pay. There is problem just because most people are not willing to pay for what they didn't consume. Some of us even spend more on generators than what we pay on bills. What difference will it make if we pay the same thing as bills as long as there is light? 2. Why Discos are in debt is because they never had finances to even buy these companies at the first place and no other money to even invest on it. Most of them have never had experience in any power sector. They were only fronting for politicians. In my area, we bought our transformer, we pay power companies to maintain it and we still pay our bills for a private-owned business . 3. It is bad govt's policies that are affecting refineries. We were paying more for fuel when they said there were subsidies than when they said there no subsidies. We spent hundreds of billions of naira on subsidies when fuel price was over N90. Now that fuel price is N145, we pay trillions as subsidies. It is purely politics and corruption. We may not even pay up to N145 if we allow market forces to fix prices. Price will be rising and falling as market dictates unlike now, it keeps rising even when there us glut in the international market. 5. Only this point is acceptable. When u use the same ingredients and method to cook, you will always get the same results. That is why I don't vote anymore. Apc and PDP are the same bunch of criminals. grin

1.If the election was truly rigged, Kogites would be out on the street in every LGA protesting.

2.That they are not out shows extreme cowardice, or (more likely) they actually did vote for Yahaya Useless. Either way, the same old, same old wins.
