for those people who are not proud of Nigeria

during the civil war in Liberia, the American and UN forces were called to stop the fight but to no avail but when the nigerian army got there "a single bullet was not fired" and peace was brought to our brother's country.

the nigeria flag was even waved by the Liberians.

That statement is just so damn wrong! Nigeria spent several bullets and sent in a lot of hardware.
More than the above, Nigerian troops left a lot of fatherless children from countless liaisons and ra'pes.

@OP
Yes ooooooooooo, we did play a very important part in the war and managed to help introduce democracy to Liberia, but our soldiers' conduct is questionable. Some of them would rape everything in sight and up till today, some Nigerians go all the way to Liberia to sell drugs to the Liberian people who then get high off said drugs and commit numerous crimes.

i believe d poster is talking about d second war in 2002. figuratively speaking, he is right. but many bullets must have been expended in unreported skirmishes and security duties. but there was hardly any major action. d soldiers led by a Gen Okoronkwo arrived to a rousing welcome by d citizens.

These so-called atrocities are not restricted to Nigerian soldiers. Even the UN peace keepers with its much vaunted records professionalism of have been found wanting in quite a number of cases. Liberia, Haiti, Congoname them. . .

The report documents 68 cases of alleged rape, prostitution and pedophilia by U.N. peacekeepers from Pakistan, Uruguay, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa and Nepal. U.N. officials say they have uncovered more than 150 allegations of sexual misconduct throughout the country as part of a widening investigation into sexual abuse by U.N. personnel that has plagued the United Nations' largest peacekeeping mission, U.N

In 2007, it was discovered and reported that girls as young as 13 were having sex with U.N. peacekeepers for as little as $1 in Haiti. Moreover, Sri Lankan soldiers were accused of systematically raping Haitian women and girls, some as young as 7 years old.

Two Russian pilots paid young girls with jars of mayonnaise and jam to have sex with them, the report adds.

#  And at least two U.N. officials – a Ukrainian and a Canadian – have been forced to leave the African nation after getting local women pregnant.
