This is to inform all Principals of Government approved Senior Secondary Schools countrywide who intend to present candidates for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) that the closing date for receipt of entries as has been communicated by The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Sierra Leone, is 20th December, 2019.

However, given the rigorous process involved in the screening of the candidates which will be undertaken by the ministry prior to the final submission of the entries to WAEC.

The ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education hereby directs that Heads of approved Senior Secondary Schools submit entries of their candidates together with scratch cards to facilitate the verification of candidates' BECE results to the office of the Director of Inspectorate at New England Freetown, latest by close of business on 10th December, 2019.

All concerned are urged to strictly adhere to this directive as NO entries will be accepted after this date.
