RITMAN UNIVERSITY SETS TO HOLD MAIDEN CONVOCATION.


The management and staff of Ritman University, Ikot Ekpene, is set for the institution’s maiden convocation ceremony scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2019.

The programme of activities made available to our newsmen indicates that the event which will feature the award of first degrees as well as the conferment of honorary degrees to deserving members of the public, will take place at the University’s sports ground in Ikot Ekpene.

The schedule of activities for the week-long event, as documented in the programme of activities indicates that convocation gowns will be collected by graduands on Monday, November 25, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:30pm.


On Tuesday, November 26, a pre-convocation/press briefing will hold by 9: am, while hooding rehearsal and induction of alumni will take place the same day by 1:00pm.

Wednesday 27th will feature project exhibitions from 3: 00pm to 5:00pm, which will be preceded by career talk by 9:00am.

On Thursday 28th, the School’s Council Business Meeting will hold by 3:00pm, followed by the final football match by 4:00pm.

Convocation lecture on “Reflection on Qualitative University Education in Nigeria” will be presented on Friday, November 29 by Prof. Akaneren Essien, Ph.D, followed by a dinner and award party by the graduating students by 5:30pm.

Saturday 30th will be convocation by 10: 00am, while a thanksgiving service to wrap-up the event will take place at the New Apostolic Church, Lutheran road, Ikot Ekpene, by 10:00am.

While inviting members of the public to witness the event, the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof Celestine Ntuen, advises guests to be seated for the convocation by 9:30am.
