Lots of Nigerians in SA are into shady deals because SA as a country thrives in shady deals. Crime is not something abominable there. In fact, it is nearly celebrated there. Their grouse with Nigerians is simply that they're loud and mostly show off. Remove this from Nigerians and the prejudice/hatred/jealousy etc will reduce. I don't know if it's the apartheid history or their diversity there that affected their hospitality. They're mostly not hospitable to foreigners.
