The Lagos State Government says it plans to restrict the movement of heavy duty trucks in the metropolis during the day so as to ease traffic on the roads.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made this known on Monday at the Lagos House, Ikeja, when a team from the Nigerian Breweries Plc paid him a courtesy visit.

Sanwo-Olu said that the government had been pushing the trailers off that whole corridor of Iganmu area to ensure that the journey towards Apapa continued to remain free.

Trucks at night and cars/busses at day gridlock problem reduced.

Yeah!....that's what we need the most...i also think they should stop petrol tankers moving in the day...everyday lagos road is at high risk...due to the bad roads...and those trunk driver are very careless...recent news said that petrol tankers has been causing alot of accident in the lagos_ibadan highways...but country like france usa brazil india e.t.c...don't use trunks to carry load. it is train they have been using...that is why their roads is very easy and smooth...so we want our govt to pls help us...everyday more than 20 million nigeria is exposed to death risk..what about the bad vehincles that produce carbon_monoxide(poisoning)..NIGERIA GOVT PLEASE WAKE_UP
