The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, under the aegis of Unity Group, Alhaji Ali Olanusi has declared unconditional support for National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Igbere TV reports.

The Unity Group made known in a press statement made available Igbere TV on Tuesday, November 26.

The is coming barely few days after Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu with his lackey, Mr Ade Adetimehin and other conspirators launched a failed coup against the National Chairman.

Igbere TV reports that the group which is led by Olanusi, a former deputy governor and member of APC’s Board of Trustees (BOT) boasts that majority members of APC in Ondo State disowned Mr Ade Adetimehin, adding that Adetimehin has lost legitimacy.



The statement reads; “The only reason why Mr Ade Adetimehin was emboldened to join the failed coup is because the National Working Committee (NWC) is yet to punish him for anti-party activities.

This is a man who parades himself as chairman of APC in Ondo State but publicly campaigned for another political party, Action Alliance (AA), in the 2019 general elections.

“Instructively, recent political activities of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu are clear signals that the governor wants to destroy Ondo APC before jumping ship to another party.

“Finally, while saluting the party for upholding the suspension of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, we call on the National Chairman and the National Working Committee (NWC) to immediately dissolve the Ade Adetimehin-led State Executive Committee (SEC) of Ondo APC in line with the provisions of Article 13.4 (XVI) and (XVII) of party’s constitution.”, the group said.
