Help! My Export Company Dream Is About To Die. by olumide3367(m): 10:19pm On Nov 27, 2019
Hello Nairalander
My name is Olatunji Olumide Joseph. I am 22 years old Associate degree graduate of mechanical engineering. I set up a company (Hollyway Global Investment Int'l Ltd). What brought about the company? Two things. First, I hate the notion of working for people. And secondly, I look around me and discover that the rate of fraud from Nigeria and Africa is scaring away people from Europe, Asia, America from dealing with us but they seriously need what we have. Like what? They want to buy our charcoal, cashew nut, bag of onion but anytime they make such demands, scammers are always the first to answer them and at the end dupe them. So my company Hollyway Global is a Nigerian Agricultural Firm which into Foodstuff sales and supplies, export and general merchandise. Our foods stuff includes :melon seed(including Ground egusi), ogbono, palm oil, stockfish, dry fish, garlic, bitter kola, dried vegetable leaves, rice, beans, garlic, soybeans, cocoa seeds or powder, wheat, sesame seeds, cassava products (starch, tuber and flour), honey, shea butter, kola nut, charcoal etc. It was incorporated on September 4th 2019. I set it to breach that gap.I have gotten all necessary tools to work and ready for business. I Opened a dormicillary(dollar) account as well as current account with sterling bank. I Apply for export license and open a website for the company(I won't drop the website name here sorry). Lastly, I did premium registration with a b2b website(go4world.com) to get customers.Etc. But my hands are tied as I don't have capital to work. The buyers are coming to my website and I do get demands through my email every single day for products I can easily source here in Nigeria and export to them and make money in US dollars. They are serious and ready to buy but demands for prove that i have the product ready. What they demand is this. I wan buy from u. You get am ready in bag? If no, no deal then. If I get capital, I buy it and package it in company brand packaging. I don't just know how to get capital. I just dey frustrated and afraid that the company will go down the drain as a dream. I met bank but them no gree give me loan because I have no collateral and my company na start up.

Please how can I get loan for start up? How can I get a serious investor to finance my company and keep my dream alive?

P.S insert is some of the demands to my email daily.

Oga, go and work for an established export company first, to learn the ropes properly and build connections with the suppliers, of these products.

By the time they start knowing and trusting you, then you might get some items at a reduced rate, or partner with them to let you export a few tonnes on credit, and then pay later after your customers have paid you.

Tell your buyers to send you a verifiable Letter of Credit go to the bank with they would help you finance the deal. ..like the fellow above said go learn the ropes.

Olumide...
Go into "group export" by teaming up with other smaller exporters.

With proper training from professional export trainers and consultants, you'll get good leads.

@HapiNna, sorry for the late
reply. I logged in and saw your mention among other mentions.

Okay, I'm not aware of any on NL.

But off NL, you can reach out to
Multimix (www.multimix.com.ng).
Multimix was founded in the 1990s by Dr. Madu who worked on the export desk of a bank and is one
of the top 5 export specialists I know of.

Send an email or call the phone
lines on the Website to get more info about the Group Export where agents receive commodities (from small to mid-sized exporters) and pay them locally on behalf of the final buyers who are based in Europe for instance.

All the best.
