HR Word of the Day

OUTPLACEMENT

Outplacement is the support service provided by responsible organizations, keen to support individuals who are exiting the business (voluntarily or involuntarily) – to help former employees transition to new jobs and help them re-orient themselves in the job market.

Outplacement Counselling is a systematic process by which a terminated employee is trained. Outplacement counselling is part of the terminated employee's support or severance package and is often done by specialized outside firms. It helps displaced employees manage the transition from one job to another.

An outplacement consultant is a type of human resources consultant/specialist. Outplacement consultants assist employees in obtaining new positions more quickly. Although these consultants do not actually locate new jobs, they help employees to develop the skills and attitude necessary for a successful job search.

Outplacement services typically include resume writing, LinkedIn profile development, job search guidance, interview preparation, and career coaching. Outplacement services can be structured to offer support in a group format or one-on-one sessions

*YOU ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THE JOB*

Sometimes the reason you don't get that dream job is YOU! Many applicant with the right skill set do not get the job because don't use the right tools to sell their potential.

Employers are not magicians and they cannot know you are a qualified candidate unless you let them see that. There are hundreds of people applying for the same job as you

*what makes the best suitable candidate for the job?*

*COVER LETTER*
Many applicant always ignore the power of a cover letter, a good Cv with a poor cover letter might leave your CV in the recycle bin. Alot of applicant send their CV without an email body, your cover letter should always be the body of your email if you are not asked to attach it as a file.

Your cover letter should contain your address and that of the company you are applying to (if you know their address) salutation and a brief introductory of your self and your Skills, and why you are the best candidate for the job using your experience, KSA as a reference.

*CV/RESUME*
while cover letter is important. A good CV is more than important. Recruiters always complain that out of over a 100 job application not even up to 10 applicant have a standard CV, dont get it twisted it doesnt mean not up to 10 are qualified, their CV disqualifies them and term them unsuitable for the job role. Out of the 100 application, 90 may be considered unsuitable for the job because of a bad CV or resume but out of the 90, 40 maybe could be qualified but disqualified by a bad CV that doesnt sell out their skills to the recruiters. Which is why you need a good CV, your CV is your image.... how the recruiter imagines your abilities is dependent on what they see on your resume. Cv have rules, format, fonts even line spacing. And you maybe not see where your CV faults are unless it gets to the recruiter. Try to always make your CV with a CV specialist or an HR specialist. It might cost you but it's better than submitting the *wrong CVs to the right firms*, you ruin your future chance of getting engaged by them.

*INTERVIEW*
This is the last and most important level of the pre employment stage. While the two above will land you an interview, the interview is what gets you the job. And this is where most applicant fail....
They always go for interviews unprepared.
The first thing an applicant should do before going for an interview is to find out about the organisation online, what they do, their core vision, missions and goals, salary structure, benefits everything you can find. That helps you answer some questions that might be asked at the interview. And having knowledge about the firm you are applying to give the recruiter the idea that you are serious about their organisation. Also you could use that knowledge to express your interest in their services or product and that you would love to join the moving team because you like what they do ( even if you don't but the pay is good)

All this above is offered by employmenthub at the cheapest rate ever.
