After spending about 4 months in Canada the little girl from Nigeria asked the mum, “mummy when will NEPA take the light”?
That is the extent of damage the Nigeria system has caused us, making us see the abnormal as the normal. It is the abnormal system that will make you say “as a Nigerian you can survive in any situation”.
The question is were you made to survive such situations when others have long found a positive way out of that situation? They don’t get used to the problem or situation like we do in Nigeria rather they speak up and find solutions. They don’t accept fish from politicians rather they creat their own pond were they can fish, by so doing no thug or tout decide their future.
We go to bed with the mentality that we can survive in any situation. A distance of about 45minutes will be travelled for over 2hours because of bad roads yet we will smile and beat our chest that yes we survived it. In the face of police brutality you will hear someone say “what can we do” and everyone will walk passed minding his business not thinking who would be the next.
The real enemies of Nigeria are those in power who have decided to impoverished the masses and refused to give us amenities yet they take vacation in another man’s land.
To many Nigerians (both elites and all) power outage is normal but to that child by now have spent more than a year in Canada, it’s absurd. She has to be apologized to if there’s power outage without first informing her.
We keep telling ourselves Nigeria will be great again but after that we go back to our beds with our wives and girlfriends to sleep. Is that how It’s going to be great again? We have faith that one day we shall overcome but as a nation are we truly sincere to that faith? A Police officer when confronted about bribe, he will ask you “oga Na me spoil Nigeria? Is that how it will be great? When you tell a lagosian to stop dumping refuse indiscriminately he’ll tell you “Na only me dirty Lagos?” Yet they keep shouting “eko oni ba je” when it has already ba je years ago.
We need to wake up from our comfort zone, shouting Nigeria will be great again is not enough. We the citizens have tried even in the face of negative policies but let us keep up the good work. The evil leaders will continue to prevail only when the good men refuse to speak up. Nigeria is ours and we shall reclaim it.
Your loyalty and patriotism should be to Nigeria society and not the president. You can be more patriotic than the President.

Nigeria will be great again from the many years of abused, raped, looting she has gone through in the hands of looters, rapist and criminals.

We are on the right track.
Slow and steady we will get to a new nation.

When the state show patriotism then we you have a case for an argument. not when the president does virtually NOTHING gets everything for FREE and elevates NEPOTISM to a new heights while the masses suffer. of what use is patriotism in a failed entity?

why not offer basic solution in your own opinion to the mountains of problem we all know off already... thats the difference between america and nigeria... America youths are creating multiple solutions to world problem and becoming rich doing so, while Nigerians keep complaining

lets move pass complaining lets move to offering pratical solution as a graduate
