Ex Vice President, Alhajk Atiku Abubakar, on Tuesday, appeared at the registry of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Maitama, Abuja, to sign and file his deposition in support of the N2.5bn libel suit which he instituted against President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, earlier in June this year.

I think we need to be fair in our submissions. Don't let blind hate blind us. The Lauretta lady comments on political issues with reckless abandon. Are we aware she is an employee of government and not a political appointee as such. She is employed to help the government succeed in whatever role she is employed to. She is being paid with tax payers money. And tax payers are of all political parties. It is actually illegal for government employees to play partisan politics for this reason. Have you ever seen a perm sec or government official make political statements attacking opposition and individuals? What exactly was she employed for?

Atiku is making her feel important. If he loses the case, it would be more disgraceful than the one he lost with Buhari. I think he should start building up strategies for the next election.
