Below is an extract from the release by Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB registrar and former VC of UNILORIN.

Rather than oscillating between one extreme to the other, a calm and objective analysis is necessary in the interest of the nation. The Peculiarity of the university system and the need to attract first rate scholars; and to fill vacancies at short notice in order to ensure smooth functioning of the system cannot be meaningfully achieved under the present schem e of IPPIS.

The current IPPIS which itself is bedevilled by some bureaucratic and administrative lapses creating loopholes for exploitation may not be the glaring cases of corruption in some universities viable alternative to the coupled with the gargantua public service corruption. IPPIS may not serve n level of as sanitisation for the university system as it is generally said , urine cannot be used to wash excreta
