A young Nigerian lady has died after she was robbed and stabbed in the neck by robbers who made away with her laptop.


According to reports, the deceased was on her way from work when she was attacked.

Bystanders who witnessed what happened took her to the hospital but she died after a hospital refused to treat her without a police report.

The woman, who has been identified as Moradeun Balogun, lost her life due to a hospital’s refusal to do their job, @tomiwale_ revealed on Twitter.

She was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Gbagada, Lagos but was denied treatment due to lack of police report.

Does the hospital need police report to treat a stab wound?

I think people make up stories just to draw attention and vent their anger

Assuming she died let's say after 3 days of her arrival at the hospital, people will say she was treated by incompetent doctors.

even if the person u are treating turns out to a robber , does that stop u from involving the police after or during treatment ?

what I understand is that most hospitals are running away from death casualties , so that the hospital won't have a bad name , cos most are using quack doctors and nurses

There is an Act that provides for the compulsory treatment and care for victims of gunshots by hospitals in Nigeria and goes further to impose on every citizen, a civic duty to render every possible assistance to any person with gunshot wounds by ensuring that the person is taken to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment not to talk of a stab wound....the implementation of this laws is the problem... Imagine a life wasted because of a supposed police report
