Adebutu Donates 500KVA Transformer To Igan Okoto Community In Yewa North by Ponmile001: 12:08am On Dec 07, 2019
The people of Igan Okoto Community in Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State in a joyous atmosphere extolled the philanthropic gesture of the Chairman, House Committee on Rural Development at the 8th National Assembly, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu for donating a 500 KVA transformer to the Community.

At the presentation of the transformer to the people of Igan Okoto on Friday, Hon. Adebutu through his representatives, Hon. Daisi Akintan and Prince Lekan Tejuoso, leaders of the Ladi Adebutu Development Organisation, said "This is in continuation of the fulfilment of our promise to get Ogun State electrified, and commitment to making life meaningful for our people in the State.

It is our belief that this transformer would help to improve the sagging public power supply to the rural communities. We are appealing to the community leaders to jealously guard this transformer and ensure proper use for the good of the Community".

Responding to the kind gesture of Hon. Adebutu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mukaila Akanni Salako (Adokun of Igan Okoto) revealed that small businesses holding micro-economy of the community have been grounded for many years due to lack of electricity that such situation will now be a thing of the past.

"On behalf of the Chiefs, elders and entire people of Igan Okoto, I wish to express much appreciation to Hon. Adebutu for being a man of his words. His type is so rare. For a young man like him to still prioritize the welfare of the people across the State despite the fact that campaign and election periods are over is something worthy of emulation", the Monarch said.

Oba Salako then appealed to worthy individuals, groups, corporate organisations and other politicians to "borrow a leaf from Hon. Adebutu". He also said small scale and grassroots economy of the community will now drastically improve as steady supply of electricity is now assured.

The event had in attendance Chiefs and Community Leaders like Otunba Saradeen Adeleye, Chief Boys Adesina, Chief Liadi Adeleke Osolo, Chief Busura Onifade Adele, Chief Akanbo Owolabi Jagun and hundreds of people from the community.
