BUSY BUT GUILTY.
Bible Reading: ACTS 5: 34 - 39.
Memory verse: ACTS 5: 39 "But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrown them. You might even be found of opposing God"
It is possible that that someone can work for God tirelessly and that person will still be condemned. The example for this is the life of the pharisees. The pharisees are the keeper of God's law. They make sure that people do not go astray from the law of God, but they are found guilty.
Gamaliel, a pharisee, calls the attention of other pharisees to this and say that they may even be opposing God whom they think they worship.
It is pitiful that many Christians nowadays do not consider checking and examining themselves if their lives are in conformity to the word of God.
You may be a pastor, Evangelist, choir, prayer warrior, instrumentalist, usher etc. Make sure that you evaluate your actions and reactions. Some men and women do not have time for their families, claiming they are working for God. If those children you abandon make you sin, I know you know the consequence.
Some people rush to blame their fellow brethren without trying to get the facts. Doing this, you may be wrong and start thinking that you are right. If you are wrong, then you are God's enemy.
We cannot continue in sin and say grace should abound, but our brethren sin every day and proclaim that the grace is sufficient for them. Believe me, no grace for the sinner; the soul that sins shall die.
If Gamaliel -- a pharisee -- Apostle Paul's tutor ( Acts 22:3)-- who is a grandson of a pharisee can think deeply about his actions, then you should also emulate that if you do not want your selfless service to be meaningless.
Watch your speech, don't be proud, do not be quick to judge, give honour to whom honour deserves, don't hate people because they do not follow your belief, render selfless service, do not be rebelious in the house of God, do not suffer as a criminal. What you think you are doing for God may be opposing God. So, be wise.
You can remember what happened to Uzzah, he touched the ark of God, and died (2 Samuel 6: 7) Don't fight for God, be clever in your ways of dealing with people. Moses failed to get to the promise land because of anger; he is busy but anger made him guilty.
May God help us.
