Hogan Bassey is the first Nigerian descent to become the world boxing champion in 1957. He was born in 1932 and died 1998 at 65.

While Anthony Joshua is the current world heavy weight champion on 7th, November,2019.

Although,Bassey and Joshua are from Nigeria but they both fight for Britain.
