PrecisionFx: Let's assumed that Banjo failed the task given to him and the coward who never stepped the war front throughout the three years of war ordered his execution. What did he do when he himself failed? He ran, in woman's skirt and blouse. Lol Ojukwu was called upon to defend his people and he did so for 3 years, Yorubas have never stood up to the hausa for once in nigerian history do not have the grounds to call anyone a coward as long as nigeria and eastern nigeria is concerned That wasn't the case. Nobody called him to defend anything, he led his people into a needless war because of selfishness and self centeredness 1 Like |

maasoap: ""That wasn't the case. Nobody called him to defend anything"" Normal daft afonja. The events that led to Ojukwu being called to defend his people has nothing to do with cowards like ur race...a people who have never stood up to the fulani for 60 years even after abiola was slaughtered by the fulani and even wen fajuyi was wasted by the fulani + wen Awolowo was jailed and thousands of yoruba protesters were killed by reh fulani. All u do is chooo ur useless mouth on igbo matters, cant u exist without igbos? Cant u survive without igbos? Will u die if u stop talking nonsense. COWARD 1 Like 1 Share |

Omoodua007: See the real cowards here. Nadeco chiefs that ran away tails between their legs the moment Abacha meant business by gunning down Kudirat. They were making lots of noise all over air space till Sergent Rogers and his boys invaded south West. Not a whole Nigerian Army, no Egyptian pilots flying over south West airspace, no Russian fighters, no British commanders. Not a single army being commanded by any body. No military blockade. No refugee situation. No war situation. Just , Sergent Rogers and his boys doing practice ,had the following so called 'men' scampering for safety. Bola Ahmed Tinubu Dele Momodu Dan Suleiman Gen. ALani Akinrade Dr. Amos Arongundale Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi Prof. Wole Soyinka and many others. I don't want to talk about the crying general, Oladipo Diya. Abacha, was flogging the sophisticated morons with iron belt and all they could do was run. But their children are all over cyberspace mocking a man who when the holocaust against his people was going on, decided to be a man. He pursued peace at Aburi, he demanded that Army hierarchy be maintained and power given a yoruba man Gen Ogundipe who was next in line. He demanded for true confederation. For months, puppet Gowon could not guarantee the safety of his people. Their existence was under threat. Then instead of doing the right thing his region was divided into two to cause confusion and distraction. He made a smart move, to go with his people when they could still fight as one, instead of waiting until they have been weakened by internal politics so that the enemy could rip them apart one at a time. For 3 years he made mockery of the Nigerian army and their foreign allies. Under his leadership, his people manufactured weapons to defend themselves. Confused and lacking ideas on how to defeat a determined and ingenious people, Gowon sought the advice of a witch from the oil soup region. 'Starve and kill their children and they will surrender' Gowon picked the idea. While the hero confronted the invaders at the war front, the coward enemy army was busy bombing and maiming civilian population that the blockade policy couldn't finish off. The result was 2 million children and about 500,000 adult civilians dead. Only less than 300,000 Biafran soldiers died in that war. While Nigeria lost close to 1 million soldiers. It was obvious to Ojukwu that a Jihad was on. When he was sure there was no fight left in his people he took his exit. No Nigerian soldier merited the honour of catching the lion alive. He remained the finest soldier that will ever emerge from this part of the world. |

technicallyrich:Ode Sango, where do you hear Ijaw person bearing yoruba name? For your poorly educated self, Sowore in Omoluabi's language means friendship in Business. Find a meaning of this name in Ijaw and your blind argument and claim will hold. When Odua republic become reality, animals like you will be clamoring to join by hook or crook. However, lets leave that issue for now and continue tolerating all you neighbors from hell, while Nigeria holds sway. |

maasoap: Before you make this kind of statement, go and do your research. Do you know that it was Ojukwu who released Banjo from jail Do you know that Banjo lived with Ojukwu in Government House Enugu? Do you know that Ojukwu trusted Banjo enough to give him command of a whole Brigade of Biafran Soldiers? So why would Ojukwu kill his bosom friend? Banjo was the cause of his own death. Banjo conspired with Ifeajuna, Agbam and Alale to overthrow Ojukwu and negotiate with the Nigerian government. Banjo was secretly recorded at progress hotel Enugu where he was putting finishing touches to his plan to arrest Ojukwu at Government House Enugu. Ifeajuna, Banjo, Agbam and Alale, who were all officers in the Biafran Army, were arrested, tried in court, found guilty and executed If you want to know how Banjo and co plotted to eliminate Ojukwu, plus the transcript of their trial, go and read a book written by Bernard Ojukwu titled "No Place to Hide: Crises and Conflicts Inside Biafra" |

sarrki:Bump. Onicha Ado N'Idu. @sarrki, Many Onitsha natives were locked up, died, and were forcibly conscripted into the secession move of the rebel leader as child soldiers during the 2 years and 6 months Nigerian Civil War. In a 2006 interview that I read, Olisa Agbakoba said he and his older brother were teenagers as of 1967 when they were conscripted against their will and taken to the battlefield after being earlier thrown into prison. He said Ukpabi Asika's role in the rejection of the secession and Asika's role in 1967 as the Administrator of the East Central State (Now the 5 states of the South East) may have been responsible for the maltreatment of Onitsha indigenes by Ojukwu's rebels. Meanwhile, their legal luminary father was safely in Lagos on Nigerian soil (outside the rebel enclave). |
