Probing is another way of wasting public funds.

At the end of the day, NOTHING CHANGE.

The problem of the common man in the street is increasing by the day.
Re: Senate To Probe CBN, NIBSS Over N20 Trillion Unremitted Stamp Duties by Dee60: 1:43pm On Dec 11, 2019
The stamp duty is a form of tax on bank transactions.

Now, even POS transactions are taxed.

The nation must demand for full disclosure of how much has been raised so far.

How can a country keep borrowing, keep increasing taxes, and still not able to meet very basic re-current needs.?

How?

Please somebody needs to explain!

you see why no one wants them to borrow

How can Banks charge us band stamp duty and the money grew wings between banks and CBN till Federal Government had to pay a consultant to investigate where the money ended

Now this buffoon of a Senate President is telling us the money is gone and we should wait for a new bill to tackle further loss in 2020..

The Senate President comment got me really shocked.l just weak

The CBN/collectors of the money are executive thieves, The senate are political thieves just devising ways to get more fund for their own selfish personal gain.

there was a country or maybe there was never even a country in the first place.
I weep for Nigeria.

Can you please read again? Then you can understand better. Thank you.

I think you don't own a CURRENT ACCOUNT or cooperate account STAMP DUTY AND COT are charged on those various accounts

Even there was a time FIRST BANK charge COT and STAMP DUTY on their savings account. DIAMOND Bank also charge on Diamond Xtra account

So the money is gone and wasn't remitted to FG and yet they want to tax us more that will still not be remitted.

CBN or whoever that says STAMP DUTY WHERE NEVER CHARGED IS A CRIMINAL

Are we still on this N20trillion audio money. This administration is just distracting Nigerians with corruption noise. Check old news papers, Senate has probed this 20trillion naira lie 2 times already. There was no stamp duty collection from 2013. Stamp duty collection started recently except you are asking banks to debit their customers stamp duty for transactions done since 2013. In that case, senate is asking for trouble.

“I was under the impression that we had over N20 trillion somewhere. It will interest you to know that we don’t even have N1 trillion. What has happened is because those that are supposed to collect the stamp duties were taking advantage of the non-electronic transaction.

What da . . .?
