Most SE’ners with the economic power live outside their region and they only send money back home to build houses just like the normal diaspora remitting.

Also there are lot of stigmatization maybe by some forces that already instilled the thinking that SE lands are not safe security wise. This will be a turn off for foreign investors.

Also most investors are mindful of the Biafra ideology and investing in areas like such places might become a problem for them in the future due to political instability.

SW normally is at a better advantage than any region in Nigeria maybe due to the Lagos factor or the progressive mindset of the Yorubas.

How do you jump to women as if they are helpless commodities?

Look, centuries ago, Yoruba men were just as possessive as Igbo men about their women until Yoruba women became assertive and told Yoruba men where to go.

Igbo men have to stop. Igbo women are not your possession. Didn't you get the memo all over the world. Women are now liberated! Doo!

One thing that does not help is the culture that does not give right of land ownership and others to women.

In Yoruba land Igbo women enjoy all the rights beyond their reach in Igbo land. Their children, as long as they are married to Yoruba men are full "citizens". We only realized as adults that some of our best friends have Igbo mothers.
