Nas, isn't Nigerian in the slightest bit, unless it's been proven that his great ancestors that came here on the slave ships centuries ago where from Nigeria. cheesy A work buddy of mine is his dads longtime friend, I met his dad once. He's a very cool cat. He changed his name to an Afrocentric (Yoruba) one after becoming a black nationalist.. way back before Nas was born. In turn, this is how Nas got his middle names, but as you can clearly see... his Sir name is JONES, as is his fathers and mothers. His dad was a famous Jazz musician from freaking Natchez Mississippi where he went by his birth name of Charles Jones the 3rd, until moving to NYC in the 60's which is when he changed his name after becoming a black nationalist. YOU'RE WELCOME FOR THE CORRECTION.
