MM group women leader, Sha’aba, Ben, Popoola, others receives revolutionary award at Kwara Tabloid symposium


In recognition of their contributions to the development of Kwara State at various capacities, The Kwara Tabloid, a news platform, was at the weekend bestowed an award of virtue to some people found to be illustrious.

The event, which was 6th edition of its type, where intellectual kwarans from home and beyond use to gathered to discuss developmental issues and exchange of ideas that are capable of moving kwara to the greater height was held at Kwara Hotel Ilorin, the state capital.

The awardees were; Alhaja Kudi Isah, the women leader of Hon. Mashood Mustapha Political support group, who was unjustly sacked by the immediate past government in the state for refused to stop supporting MM who happened to be at the opposition political party then APC.

Engineer Umaru Sha’aba Abubakar, (Wakillin Lafiagi) one of the courageous voices on the Radio Programmes that were used to challenge the Maladministration of the past government in the state, especially towards the electioneering period.

Ben Oyinloye; a senior Aide to Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, representing, Kwara south Senatorial district at the National Assembly Abuja, a young and resourceful DaddiBen, would always be remember as the first courageous youngest person to stand as governorship candidate in the state under Labour Party(LP) and convener of Save Kwara Group, a group with interest in creating a level playing ground for all kwarans to pursue their aspirations.

Hon. Saheed Popoola, a Member Kwara State House of Assembly, Popoola was the only lawmaker that refused to decamped to People Democratic Party (PDP) in the last legislative assembly despite all kind of offers to win him to their side. He is extremely love by his people from Offa community and beyond.

Other awardees are: Otunba Taiwo Joseph, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf, Hadiza Mohammed, Mallam Musa Aliyu, AbdulRahman Olayinka Onikijipa, Dr. Saka Shittu, Dr. Femi Akorede, and organization like, Igbomina Community North America, the brain behind Igbomina mobile clinic and others.

Reacting to her award, women leader of MM political support group, Alhaja Kudi Isah, appreciated the organizer of the programme, Mr Tunde Bakare, Olorombo of idi orombo, for found her worthy of recognition and thanked Hon. Mashood Mustapha for his unflinching support and his contributions to the political freedom kwara is currently enjoying.
