But how did we get here? During my childhood, the most traumatic thing you would hear is maybe a luxurious bus crashing into a river or armed robbers killing bank employees during their operation. But today you read news about boko haram burning down a whole village and killing hundreds of people in the process. You read about hundreds of elementary school students kidnapped and forced into marriage and prostitution.
