“As you all know, the main trouble with Nigeria is that there were not enough aspects of Sharia law in the constitution. If there were, the governor of Kano state, His Excellency Abdullahi Ganduje, would not be caught on camera collecting bribes in dollars and still have his two hands intact.

“Sharia police would have dismantled his hands and used them as compost or placed in a museum.

“If there were enough aspects of Sharia laws in the Nigerian constitution, President Buhari’s media spokesman, Garba Shehu, would not have had the audacity to put his legs in the same trouser with the First Lady, Aisha Buhari. Sharia police would have dismantled Garba Shehu’s legs for committing that abomination. And his legs would have been used as compost or placed in museum.

“I tell you, if there were enough aspects of Sharia laws in the Nigerian constitution, Omoyele Sowore would have married four wives and would have had 20 children by now. Which means that he would have thought about it twice before he went about talking about a revolution.”

so, we should adopt sharia as Nigeria constitution. I support this, but only after non Muslims are allowed to form their country

Just misery and poverty.
If sharia works, the Saudi royal family would have all been hanged. Especially the ones that killed that journalist. But of course it's for the stupid masses

The call for the enshrinement of Sharia into the Nigerian constitution is a call for the eventual dismembering of Nigeria as a country.

The implication is that non-Muslims are ready to carve their own countries out of Nigeria.

Not even the threat of war would be able to stop this.

They would be very much able to defend themselves against any Islamist extremist forces.

Shame on this terrorist Fed Govt.

Shame on the so called elites that have lost their voices out of fear.

Let approach it technically.
Sharia is for muslims right? So one can disobey on the count of the law being non binding on the basis of personal beliefs. That is disaster waiting to happen as any individual can claim mis trial or unfair judgement if he or she determines that the judgement or execution of law was biased based on religious positions. This will lead to much more religious divide in this country, religion will become more relevant in the day to day issues it's generally going to be bad. If there is one thing that makes a law what it is, is generalisation that the law is applicable on all levels and all individuals. It creates a situation where by an individual can flaunt the provisions of the law under the guise of religious affiliations. It's going to make the law unenforceable as any attempt at enforcement will be seen as a threat against religious freedom. Our laws should be free of every religious inclinations else we become victims of unlawfulness.

Instead of going forward as a nation we prefer to go backwards, and how has Sharia helped people in Afghanistan and Zamfara? If Sharia is the best wouldn't all eyes have seen it.

You see why Nigeria need restructuring because the way a section of the country is taking others for a ride is worrying.

As long as their sharia law is only restricted to Northern states, I have no problem with that

How possible can it be to implement sharia in the Nigeria even if the Muslims has the number in the senate? Do they really think the Nigerian security forces could contain a civil uprising in the Nigeria of today ? Is it possible for christain members of the Nigerian armed forces to fight with the Islamist to quell an uprising against the sharia law.
This people should stop having lofty dreams. There was a time a tiny section of the country fought Nigeria and stood them for three years and Nigeria have been fighting BH for over 10 years and then by their hands and lofty dreams we want to ignite conflicts of far greater magnitude.
