PRECIPITATION OF THE SEASON
The price of congratulations is embedded in silent longsuffering of preparation. To some, it is a long time of learning and training; constant rehearsal; hard prayers; hardships/tears and silent traumatic emotions among others. Congratulations is the offshot to the people who can successfully journey through the above prices, to be paid up the ladder of greatness. Greatness or success which oftentimes results to congratulations has two legs; dedication and suffering. These two legs are oftentimes laced with confusion, doubts and uncertainties whether our aspirations and anxieties will ever be achieved or appropriated. In amidst of these doubts and uncertainties, positivity and right thinking with Faith in God must be aproned.
The reason for this glorious season is the birth of the Kings of king, the Mighty God. His birth as full human and full God does not just come suddenly; it a constellation of patience and docility of some people orchestrated by God the creator. These set of people who are docile to God Promptings; watered the soft landing of God sent. The all sufficient God can do anything He wants both in heaven and earth below, because He is the totality and originator of everything we can fathom. He can decides, His only Son appear on earth without any precursor, but God has chosen to bring His own Son known to whole world through earthens. In the process of God bringing forth His plans to whole world, reconciling us back to Himself; installing us to the glory we first enjoyed in the Garden of Eden. God has strived and caved a generation of holy people to Himself and so He found Abraham worthy for this task.
Abraham hitherto, is enjoying the fruit of greatness and unprecedented success in the salvific history of mankind laced in longsuffering, endurance, patience and absolute faith in what God has spoken. On the other hand, Moses, a very meek man of God, enjoyed honour from Israelites based on what God has done through him. In the same vein, he suffered a great deal. Subsequently, David, surfaced in the scene; by trying his best and God dearly loved him. Also, he suffered and briskly enjoyed the company of Israelites through dedication to his calling. Through the progeny of this great man, God brought forth His own Son to the world. In addition, the circumstances that besieged the birth of Virgin Mary and John the Baptist harbinger the dedication of some individuals to the original meaning of waiting upon the Lord. These people mentioned had played their respective roles in the advent of Son of God to the world. Here we are therefore, singing “joy to the world, the saviour is born.......”
We should also be ready to pay our own price towards building the body of Jesus Christ on earth for the crown of glory that awaits the faithfuls in heaven which is the culmination of the supreme congratulations in the Kingdom of God, the sum total of our sojourn on earth.
