Catholic Reverend Father, Oluoma has responded to Dr Daniel Olukoya’s criticism that Christmas is unbiblical.

Schooling the General Overseer cleric of Mountain Of Fire and Miracles Ministries on what he titled “Where Is It In The Bible”, the Reverend Father called on Dr Olukoya not to confuse biblical theology with terminology as MFM has a football club but it is not in the bible.

He wrote,

“WHERE IS IT IN THE BIBLE?
I wanted to pretend I didn't read about the G. O who said 'Christmas' is not in the Bible and so shouldn't be celebrated. It's the same funny mentality of those who confuse terminology with theology.

“Easter as a term is not in the Bible but we celebrate easter because it's an event and a mystery recorded in scripture. Same with Christmas, it's not the term or calendar date we celebrate but the event and mystery.

“One day now someone will wake up tipsy on 'anointing' and tell me to tell him why I call myself a Catholic since that term doesn't exist in the Bible. Same folly can be extended to all churches because no church has a name that's used as a group of church members in the Bible.

“A Pentecostal church that says it doesn't celebrate Christmas bc the term doesn't exist in the Bible but calls itself a Pentecostal church is just a comic contradiction.

“Pentecost means 50th day, it was an agricultural feast that had nothing to do with the Holy Spirit until that particular year that the Holy Spirit fell on the apostles in Acts 2.

“Even after that there is no record in scripture that the Holy Spirit fell on other people on Pentecost day. If I wanted to be 'an anointed idiot' I would have been going round condemning Christians who identify as Pentecostals, quizzing them to show me where it's in the Bible that a group of believers were referred to as Pentecostals or to prove to me where any group of Christians celebrated Pentecost in the Bible.

“Yet common sense dictates that it's neither terminology nor semantics we identify as Pentecostal but the reality and mystery of the Holy Spirit.

“Whoever adjectivised SENSE with COMMON hasn't experienced this generation of WHERE IS IT IN THE BIBLE intoxicated Christians, common sense is very rare. The Bible is not a dictionary or history book, it's more of a theology than terminology.

“When you want to use the Bible to validate or invalidate any religious practice, you look for the biblical theology about it, not the terminology.

“Mothers day, fathers day, Children's day, etc are not in the Bible, but the Bible doesn't have anything against their celebration. It's only a religious ignoramus that will condemn those celebrations and get pious zombies to follow suit. If you care to know, there are many things we do in life that are not in the Bible and God isn't angry at all.

“Traditional marriage, village meetings, cross over vigils(these 'show me where it's in the Bible' folks who are addicted to 31st Dec Cross over vigil don't even know it's not in the Bible in their sense), birthday parties, wedding anniversaries etc are not in the Bible.

“Finally, someone needs to tell Dr Olukoya that MFM has a football club, I've been searching for it in the Bible and couldn't find, abi no be MFM get that football club? Some nonsense must stop this 2019 o, let me come and be going.

Football is not played unbehalf of God, thou shall not use the name of your God in vain.

What He God ask us to do is many so I don't see the reason for adding more while living aside most of those He ask us to.

In the book of act 19:24-26, the ephiciance were highly afread when Paul begin to preach against molten images the bible says because they make a lot of gain through sale of this art work and plan to kill Paul.

Pastor Olukoya accepting easter and Christmas's celebration will mean more money to his ministry but he choose to decline it.

In the book of Matthew ch12:31 the bible says all manner of sin shall be forgiven but not sin against the Holy Ghost.

Don't mind all these useless Nigeria Pastors and GOs claiming spiritual superiority over others. They are yet to show me where it is written in the Bible, that one should register and open a church. Criticizing something that has been in existence before you is laughable. Happy Christmas to Olukoya, Kumuyi, and the entire members of MFM and Deeper life.

Popular drama minister, Mike Bamiloye has a word for people who are always arguing the birth date of Jesus Christ. According to him, whoever doesn't agree the Birth of Jesus Christ on December 25 can chose their own day.
He noted the essence of marking His Birth was to celebrate the coming of the Messiah to save mankind.
Read his statement below:

WHY THIS POINTLESS ARGUMENT? - Mike Bamiloye

Which day was cancer born? Yet the world gives a day to celebrate as World Cancer Day.
Which day was diabetes born to earn a World Diabetic Day?
Which day was AIDS born?
Which day was Father born that we now celebrate Father's Day?
Which day was Mother born?

You never argue on any of the days declared by United Nations to celebrate diseases and infirmities.

It is sheer ignorance that will make a Man argue about dedicating only one day to celebrate the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

I don't care of Jesus Christ was born on December 25 or not. Even if it was on April 13, I could care less.

But the whole world has decided to choose a day to celebrate the birth of the King of Kings, The Lord Jesus Christ.

WHY argue whether my Lord was born on December 25 or not?
While we chose to celebrate His birth on December 25, you are free to choose your own date, buy Christmas tree and organise your own Carol Night on Feb 12.

Thank you Jesus Christ for coming into this wretched world to die for me that I may live.
I look forward to every year to celebrate You on the day we have agreed to celebrate Your Glorious Birth.

Merry Christmas, Lord Jesus Christ!
