When God made woman, man was asleep.
She came out moody face stonily frowned.
"Are you not happy I made you?" God asked
"No, but you made me slave to man." She groaned
"For you have made him head over me like his sheep"
The garden was calm with fragile tension
And no one listened to their conversation

God let out a crackling laughter that nearly woke man.
And man turned in his sleep as if he was bounded.
"Yes I have made him head" God responded.
Head when things go wrong, wild and out of plan.
A ceremonial head at fixing things home;
and always to blame as head at home

But guess who decides where to live and what to heed;
What clothes to wear and number of kids to feed?
Guess who decides what to eat and when
What places to go and when...
While God was still talking, woman smiled and glowed
And tapped the sleepyhead man with pretentious coy.
Man woke and jumped with rapturous joy
He hugged the woman and screamed:
“This is indeed the bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh”.
Woman hugged the man whose ignorance made her grin and blush.
From behind the man God gave her a wink and grinned
Woman winked back mischievously and beamed.
