Good morning fellow NL. I decided to bring this topic here because I think I have been fooled several times by this so called men of God. I'm not here to criticize or insult any one but to air out my pain which was caused by a pastor.

A pastor (name and church with held) called bme for a printing job, l discussed price with him, he accepted and assured me that I'm going to do the printing of the job, he gave me the necessary information needed including the pictures ( though he didn't give me any advance payment) I met my graphics designer and did the design, sent samples to his whatsapp, we made all the necessary corrections. There was no complaints as to the design or my pricing. To cut it short, the pastor took that my design and sent to another person for printing. When I saw the poster and banner on the road, same design I gave him, I called him and made inquiry about what happened, he said he will get back to me. Two months has gone, the program has ended, the money I paid the graphics designer has gone. Why are some pastors so deceptive?

It's part of the trade

It's not correct, alot of people lies. Don't make it seems like it's a Pastor thing. People lie for various reasons, especially selfish reasons or protective reasons, just know that lieing is a human thing and not limited to Pastors, you should ask the Question like this too, Why do our Leaders lie

Our leaders are of the world, if other people should lie our pastors should not. What makes them different from the rest?

For you to be very successful in that line of business you must be a VERY good liar, infact you must be able to conjure scenarios on the spot at any given time.

From traveling from Lagos to Ibadan without no fuel, to taking bread and Cowbell chocolate with God...and so on.

In this line of business, you must be English savvy, British accent is also an advantage...

That is how they make money .

With what you have said and the other experiences I have had, I have come to this conclusion.

When I finally start a business, I am removing all sorts of sentiments.

1. Friends
2. Religion
3. Friends of family members

Irrespective, the business would thrive.

Next time add plenty watermark to the copy you will send to your clients. Even if they take it to another graphic designer it will cost your clients money to remove the watermark by another graphic designer. So your clients will be left with no other choice but come back to you.

the way you atheists attack Christianity, if you do the same to politician , by now Nigeria will be great again. politicians lie, and politics have done more harm than religion .

Even Christianity started from a lie. Mary got pregnant and credited it to god but we all know how we'd react if our GF who says she's a virgin gets pregnant while crediting god.

am the pastor you talking about .You didn't say the whole truth .your design was good but your cost of printing very high .I got a cheaper printing offer .I will settle you later .But my advise to you is to always put a watermark on your sample designs ,until the client pay .So that he wouldn't be able to take it to another printer .But I will pay you your money soon

Remember they are still humans and are still in the world, so sometimes there is a reason, That same thing u accused the pastor of has happened to me, I had this printing job which after the guy did the designing I later found out that his own printing was costlier, I got it cheaper somewhere else, I had to use the other guy which is cheaper, maybe Pastor didn't lie he just lack the way to tell u. Have u reasoned it this way?

You are not a pastor, are you? If yes, that idea of getting of getting it cheaper somewhere else without informing the first person is not commendable, do you know if he would accept doing it same price you were offered else where or even below? I've had similar experience and I condescended to the customers demand

Pastors are the worst kind of clients... I found this out after I started my own business

Most of them are not pastors, they are businessmen looking for fame and money
