POLICE LAUNCH OPERATION ‘SAFE DELTA’

Delta State Police command has set up a special operational squad code name “Safe Delta” to strengthen the operational capacity and security patrol throughout the state.

According to a release, the operation was in response to the security challenges posed by what the command described as ‘the rapidly changing dynamics of crime and criminality in the society’, saying it was to continually review and re-jig the security architecture of the command.

The released signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said that the new squad had been given twenty-one (21) operational vehicles donated by the Delta State Government.

It said that the vehicles were deployed to cover the three senatorial districts in the state of Delta North, Delta South, and Delta Central, adding that each district was further divided into sub sector for effective coverage.

In the same vein, the vehicles are numbered according to their area of coverage for the purpose of identification.

While noting that members of the squad had been trained and properly briefed on what was expected of them, the release enjoined members of the public to use Police Control Room number 08036684974 to make distress call or complaint against any member of the team or the patrol team.

To all young men in Delta State

For you to stay alive, you have either stay indoors while this said operation is on going or you keep a distance of 100km from those murderers called NPF.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
Nobody will compensate your family.

Remember, this is Nigeria.
