Step2 Locate the internal connected battery(ies) and disconnect them ( if with two battries check if the batteries are connected in series it is a 24v ups which requires two battries compulsorly but if connected in parallel it is a 12v which can use either one or two battery .)
Step3 Those two wires of black and red are your positive and negative . Cut off heat and Strip the insulation part to use.
Step 5 Get a flex wire of black and red and connect to them togethe to extend wire length and tape with an insulation tape.
Step 6 Get any inverter battery of your choice of 45ah,75ah, 100ah, 200ah as u can afford and connect the wires from the ups to the battery and tighten properly.
Step 7 Get a battery charger to charge the battery and have it plugged on wall socket to charge the battery when there is power supply
Step 8 Now you good to go to power any appliances in your house.

Thank you 1. You can but the charging current the ups has is very small to charge a big battery if you it to charge iy may take u a week to charge it so due to that you will need to buy what is called battery charger of 12v to help you to charge the battery adequately and faster .
2. You cant use car battery because it is called starting battery ....not that ot will not work but it will not last as soon as you plug laod in the next few minute it will run down that is y u need the type of battery called inverter battery
