The U.S Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq has called on Americans to heed the January 2020 Travel Advisory and leave Iraq immediately. The embassy made this call due to the heightened tension in the region following the killing of Iran's top military commander, Qassem Soleimani. Soleimani was killed alongside a senior commander in Iraq's militia, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, in Iraq in an airstrike ordered by the U.S President, Donald Trump. The statement in part reads...
