Good morning nairalanders,I want to you all to clarify me on something....I'm currently in my finals studying microbiology..pls house, what are my chances of working in the hospital with microbiology,bcuz I saw a post sometimes ago when someone said govt hospitals don't employ microbiology anymore,that it's medical laboratory sciences that they employ now

Microbiology as a course is diversified meaning you can specialise in different fields e.g industrial, pharmaceutical medical....but if it's for medical, I think MCB graduates now do a professional medical course for a period of two years ( you can make research) before being licensed to perform the role of MLS in hospitals..
That's why they don't accept MCB graduates directly.
