The wealthiest man on the African content, Nigerian tycoon Aliko Dangote, has disclosed plans to acquire ten thousand units of Made-in-Indonesia pickup trucks with the aim of marketing them in Nigeria.

Speaking of the purchase, Putu Juli Ardika from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, said that the vehicles would be purchased via the Dangote Group company. The director revealed that Dangote decided to buy the vehicles due to their capacity to convey cassava, seed processors and water.

Naijauto gathered that the trucks are scheduled to be imported into the country within a period of five years. About one thousand units are expected to be delivered between 2020 and 2021.

Dangote Group is a multi-billion dollar enterprise with interests in cement, flour and sugar production. With its headquarters situated in Nigeria, it boasts of branches in other African nations including South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin, Zambia, and Togo. The company is said to be holding a US$4.3 billion net worth.
