FC Barcelona's manager Ernesto Valverde has just been sacked, according to a report published a few minutes ago on goal.com. There have been widespread calls for his sack since the 4-0 capitulation at Anfield last season. Recall that a Valverde led Barca team threw away a 4-1 first leg lead to Roma two seasons. Last season's Copa del Rey final loss to Valencia certainly did not help Valverde's standing with the fans and the board. Barca's new head coach is 61 year old Quique Setien who last managed Real Betis.
