I've asked before if the section should be closed down, why should random anonymous strangers just up and be asking people about their personal stuff anyway?

some people want to understand others, some want to discover/enquire about how others live, many are curious/nosy like that....and if NLers dont want to reply then thats what they should do. i dont think the section should be closed down for that reason.

The people you referred to as random have well known monikers here and can't afford to unmask themselves.

People share their pains here to get feedback and gauge their own action/ intentions.
They use the responses from here to check their behavior
