|Please Someone Advice Me On This Fiverr Gig I got by Adabass: 7:46am On Jan 17, 2020|
I am a software developer and I currently got a gig on fiverr. The guy claims to be CEO of a Start up in USA. He said he wants me to retouch their website to look more professional and make some little changes to make the code look exactly like d design.
However , this is the problem, he said they are still currently working for free , but they will get a funding of 100k dollars on launch. So he promised I will get 2.5% of that, which is 3750 dollars.
Now this is almost 1.5million in Nigerian Naira. This is a chance for me to be a millionaire, the highest I have been getting b4 was 270 dollars. Although he vowed I will get my money 100% but as a normal human being, it's not easy to trust someone just like dat. We agreed I will deliver the work on Monday.
Please who has had this kind of experience before. Is there a way I can hold him into ransome if he decides not to pay. Any advice on this?

Well, my sincere advice would be to do the job and hope for the best. You really have nothing to lose here. This is ur passion isn't it... something you'd do for free if it comes to that. Even if the promise seems too good to be true you'd never know for sure if it is or not. You'll live the rest of ur life wondering if u could have been a millionaire with this gig or not. Trying (even if it doesn't work out) will be better. Just take it in good faith in the hope that it's true..do the job and deliver. Of course there's a possibility that you'd be scammed but u shud just do ur own and move on

Risk it bro. Do it & hope for the best. You can do it and remove your mind completely from it too. The work is only going to take few hours of your time

Bro i am also a developer with so many years of experience. I have met various clients both local and international. My candid advise ensure he pays something even if its a commitment fee Or ask him to pay for the hosting and domain registration at least. while you design his work for him. 70% of clients that sounds like this that i have encountered also turn out not to pay at the end so long they did not commit anything. No matter what make him pay something before you commence his project.

realwebman:Thanks bro, you are 100% right. Though I accepted the offer cos it's just a week job that will take nothing from me actually, so I am zeroing my mind on the money and if its comes , it makes me an overnight millionaire.
