When WikiLeaks released the video of US Military forces shooting innocent Iraqis from their airspace, where were you people to harangue and call for the arrest of Assange?

When WikiLeaks released the address details of all members of BNP in the UK, where were you all to call for the arrest of Julian?

Suddenly, he is releasing the top US secret documents, which are in direct violation to the UN Convention in which the US is a treaty of, he is tagged as a terrorist.

It was not investigative work, he just published the document that the Kenyan Governemnt refused to make public and termed it secret. A very government can hide legitimate public information and called it secret. I am not American but even if Americans doesn't want to know what their governemt is doing with their money, we want to know where the American governemt is violating international law. Government officals concocts lies and defraud people and term them strategic national security. Now the US government officials are authorizing clendestine operations in UN in violation of internationa law, and we now know it is false. A Government that claims to be transparent and honest have nothing to hide. Assange doesn't just publish the documents, he makes them available to reputable media organisations (NY times nd Guardian) for redacting and making sure non are of strategic military planning importance. . . .the documents are not helping terrorist but embarassing governments. . . .

Infact terrorist doesn't need Assange documents . . . terrorism is an ideology, and Googles Maps, which is almost free, is one of the most useful tool they need. . .

You Nigerians are amazing! You live in one of the most corrupt countries in the world, where the people don't even know how much of their money a senator takes home each month. And yet you are all criticizing a man fighting to increase transparency in government.

Wikieaks has exposed countless examples of government and corporate corruption. They showed the world how the US and its allies have repeatedly lied about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They leaked a video showing the American military gunning down innocent civilians including 2 Reuters journalists.

And as a direct result of these activities, they are being hounded out of existence. The site is currently offline because someone (the CIA?) is mounting an illegal DDOS attack on it. Mr. Assange's life has been repeatedly threatened. People are calling for his murder. He has been arrested over highly suspect "sexual misconduct" (not r@pe) charges. His bank account has been suspended, someone even suggested that his son be kidnapped to "get at him". All this despite him not haven broken any laws. The US Pentagon even confirmed that no one has ever been hurt of killed by his organization's activities.

As far as I am concerned, this guy is a hero. And the villain here is clearly the US government which is starting to act more and more like China or North Korea.

I would happily donate money to wikileaks. More grease to their elbow.

Just to echo Tsiya's point on UN and Clinton. It is just alright tor America's secretary of state to order the spying of UN top dogs - asked for credit card fingerprint and all that - without apologizing even now that we are talking facts . . it is about right for an autocratic ruler to call for the booming of a democratic state which will definitely lead to uncountable death, no one is saying anything about that they are rather bothered with trivial issues. The leak documents only revealed America for what they truly are- as opposed to placing lives in danger. They are hypocrites, a self interested empire that will stop at nothing to get what it wants. People already know this - the leak does nothing new

Espionage or spying involves an individual obtaining information that is considered secret or confidential without the permission of the holder of the information. Espionage is inherently clandestine, lest the legitimate holder of the information change plans or take other countermeasures once it is known that the information is in unauthorized hands.
