*One Dose of Love*
Akintayo Akinjide

The third day after her sister's death, Idowu got a massive decoration contract that set her feet towards great wealth, serial contracts, and a lot of champagne popping, from her fun-loving friends.
Billing, paparazzi, and "my friend" hashtags became a norm for her.
Lost in the euphoria of the moment, her sorrow was soon replaced by joy. She posted pictures at will and soon became a tutor, ensuring she portrayed excellence.
Thus, seeing a crazy comment left rattled her for hours.
Quickly, she picked her phone and called her bestfriend.
'Titi, why... How dare you like the comment?'
'I...'
She couldn't bring herself to say more. So, she disconnected the call.
The lady wrote: after you've used your sister.

Idowu wondered if that's what everyone had been thinking about her. She tried replying the comment but that was her first mistake. People assumed she was quick to debunk the lie because it was true.
At first, she assumed it will die down but when she got an alert about her name on Twitter, she knew something was up. She ignored it until the notifications became rampant. She clicked the last one, hoping the few she read were wrong, that her eyes were decieving her.
But those were the tip of the deadly iceberg. Her name was trending in Nigeria. She had become the spectacle.
People were tearing her from right and left, limb by limb, scrutinizing her history, debating on why she was smiling or sad, questioning her gestures. They wondered why her eyes kept losing focus. They demanded answers.
Even those that won money in her giveaways didn't shy away from demanding answers.
Soon enough, clients began to fault her works, friends drifted off, family spoke to her condescendingly, her life descended down the cliff: she was dying inside.
As known with worrying, depression and desperation stepped in. Desire to seek the first lady to comment became paramount on her mind until she couldn't hold her tears near her gateman, Deji, a school certificate holder. The drunk gateman still had the stench of Goldberg on him but his tattered Bible laid just far ahead. He once told her it was a gift from his great grandmother.
After Idowu narrated her ordeal and how she rebranded her company a few weeks before Kenny's death, Deji smiled.
'Maybe she have be holding back. Like e get mi. God want her to make way for you'.
As known with emotional being, she wanted to rave but she agreed with his line of thought.
'You see? You have believe me nisinsin', he said and laughed.
And she smiled. Then, it occurred to her that the human's mind is a blooming field of ideas.
He pleaded with her to do a video recording of him. The thought of it killed her, but she agreed as a means of appreciation.
Then, Deji went on make a joke, abusing everyone that spoke ill of his boss. He made her laugh so hard that she couldn't help watching and rewatching the video. Soon, she posted it on her pages and it became a sensation. Her fans loved how she was taking the allegations and soon she was flushed out of the bad news.
Since then, she was always careful about berating trending people because the table was always turning.
