Who will want to invest in Nigeria and lose all the investments overnight with this kind of people in Nigeria today? When businesses are moving out of the country not for anything but the people that are working with them. Nigerians are anything but a good business customer or employee.

Money, money, money mentality has killed this country

Another silly lie & blame game as usual for zombies to masturbate upon.So why did the lying government kept obsessing Nigerians with how our Direct Foreign investment(DFI) have significantly improved, Foreign Reserve/Forex have tremendously increased and Nigerian is now one of the investor's destination of choice in the Ease of Doing Business? Of course, all nah wash.

Now after putting more than 15M Nigerians into unemployment, more than 94M into abject poverty and calling Nigerian youth as "lazy leeches" always looking for freebies within 4years, they're now blaming the lack of foreign investment for their self created problems.

Does the government needs that to make the youth profitably engaged? Go to Ikeja Computer Village(Lagos), Wuse Market(Abuja), GSM Market(Kano), etc and find hardworking youth working hard to earn a living.Only provide steady power and see our potentials explode beyond limits.

Meanwhile, their children are comfortably employed in choice government agencies(CBN, DPR, DSS, FIRS, NNPC
) while the downtrodden masses are left to contend with recruitment as police constables, N-Power etc.So who is fooling who in Nigeria?

Who wants to invest in a land with no security? What are they going to invest in, cow?

Security still far, If the citizens are gainfully employed, why would they want to kidnap or Rob or do money ritual, although some people are just unnecessarily greedy so gainful employment no go do them

Major problems;

1. Light
2. Light
3. Light
4. Good road
5. Good road network
6. Good governance

And every other problems you and I know is holding Nigeria back

N.B : good road is different from good road network ohh

"Gainfully employed" is also different from "employed"

Good governance alone can rid all the problems if they want to achieve anything meaningful in this country, while bad governance can destroy even heaven itself

Baba how do u think a wise investor will come and invest in a country u hv already told them that your youths are lazy and your people are corrupt.
Baba do u think that investors work that way? hell no.
For an investor to come and invest in Nigeria, Mr. President U need to go out their and tell the world that the atmosphere is conducive enough for them to come and invest.
A father that has 3-4 daughters cannot just wake up and start telling people that his daughters are prostitute, rather tell people that you hv wonderful daughters and u come home and scold them of their bad ways.

I'm still very surprised that he has not commented on this thread...

Meanwhile we all know the govt has nothing to show for the power we handed over to them

On certain threads, I expected and waited for him to comment and he was no where to be found cos it showed the true decadence of the country

You want Foreign investors to come and invest where you as a president can't guarantee their security. Your incompetence is adversely affecting the economy as a whole.
Re: Buhari: Lack Of Foreign Investments Denying Youth Employment by Yankee101: 12:01pm On Jan 20, 2020
They're all waiting for Buhari to leave before they can invest. Hopefully someone who obeys court orders and understands the economy comes in.

No business wants to go to where they can't enforce terms of a contract.

I remember when he entered office newly and started his tour. his blind misguided supporters were like.... don't worry very soon baba's foriegn trips will start paying off

And after 5 years.... Mr President is stll talking, still complaining, still buck passing.... because there are no solutions of offer. He was elected to 'fight corruption ' as the solution to the Nigeria question but after fighting for 5 years not one single problem shows any sign of being solved. I won't go to the issues of insecurity and others that were linked to so called corruption.

But on this matter he and his supporters publicly and loudly claimed corruption was the major impediment to foreign investment and economic prosperity resulting. So why is it that five years after 'ending corruption' is the country not bursting at the seams with foreign cash. Why is it that we still have to borrow our lives away.

your position on this topic is relevant, How can a giant of Africa see electricity as rocket science, we find our self in the pool of lie and of not knowing what to do, when will we all come to fruition in this country since 1960.

However, we need to break out of the shell to stop this mediocrity being celebrated by this incumbent administration, after all we travel and we see nation building by other leaders outside Nigeria, then why is that of ours different ? a terrible one have seen with in sometimes ..
Re: Buhari: Lack Of Foreign Investments Denying Youth Employment by Reference(m): 2:15pm On Jan 20, 2020
See Mr Donald Trump. He goes out, fights for his country to get the best deals for his people. He is taking on the almighty China and signed a deal to double American agricultural exports from 25 to 50 billion. Measurable, quantifiable and 'documentable' progress and benefits.

With a leader like that who will question his travels yet he hardly travels out but on the contrary he is desperately criticised, villified and even faces impeachment at home yet despite crushing opposition he goes about his duty bringing consistent results....

Our threshold for performance is far too low for a developing country such as ours hoping to make any headway in the world.

The Chinese are an industrial nation. They also have a strict meritocracy in their education sector, and also promote technical and vocational education.

Crucially, they don't try to get electricity power for free, and they ruthlessly punish corruption.

Hence, investment flows in.
No room for quota system governance. The diligent, innovative get rewarded by the system.
