Imo Apc Rents Crowd, Set To Stage Counter Protest In Imo by ImoFirstBorn: 11:14am On Jan 20, 2020
On the back of the Supreme Court ruling on the Imo State gubernatorial election, the Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress is making moves to mobilize and pay a group of people to stage a counter protest in Imo.

This is coming hours after the streets of Owerri was besieged with men and women, marching to the Government House to register their displeasure on the January 14, 2020 controversial and hugely unpopular Supreme Court judgement.

In a directive released by the Chairman of APC in Imo State, Chief Barr. M. O Nlemigbo, the Local Government Coordinators are to mobilize a crowd from their respective wards ahead of today.

The statement went on to say that ''...two buses will be provided per ward, while mobilization fees will be taken care of.''

This is coming as pressure is gradually mounting on the Supreme Court to revisit the judgement made last week which saw Hope Uzodinma come from a distant fourth position, pronounced winner of the March 9, 2019 Imo gubernatorial election.

The PDP, and other civil rights and human rights groups marched in their numbers yesterday to challenge that judgement. The protest took place yesterday in various states of the country.
