Let me tell you bro, after the 1966 first coup by Nzeogwu and other soldiers (Igbo, Yoruba, Tiv, Idoma, Ijaw, Hausa, etc....because there were soldiers from other tribes, but the leader of the coup were mostly Igbo soldiers).....after that coup, Igbos made some mistake that resulted to the counter coup.

First, some Igbo traders in the north were making jest of the Northerners after Ahmadu Bello and Belewa were killed like commoners by the coupists....this angered northerners as they grieved and also gingered their plot for a counter coup as they saw it as a tribal coup.

Secondly, the coupists; Nzeogwu and co fvcked up...they were supposed to at least kill 2 or 3 Igbo political leaders too to mask whatever intention they had...at least Michael Opkara, Nwafor Orizu and some others ought to have been killed to balance the equation....and they failed to do that....
