You don't need to talk down on other people in order to sell yourself. Just show off your portfolio people will hire you.
Developing websites from scratch is a stupid idea it shows incompetence in this dispensation. People now use already made templates and CMS to speed up their work.
I have never built any site with WordPress but I use a lot of templates(already made websites) to speed up my work.

What is the point in building from scratch? It doesn't make any sense. A website that is built with CMS is not inferior.
