The controversy being garnered over the Amotekun issue is quite unnecessary and rather unfortunate. First of all, the federal government declares the outfit illegal which in my opinion is solely because they realized other regions might want something similar, and some regions in Nigeria can not be trusted with such an outfit.
The first arrivals to the party were those who are enemies of the north and have always hated yorubas because the Yorubas have refused to join them in hating the notherners. They quickly interpreted it as a fulani vs yoruba issue and began to form some kind of solidarity with their southern brothers.
Then the cattle rarer guy who began tagging the outfit as an ethnic militia targeted at his kinsmen. This is where the political engineering began. Trying to condition the minds of the hausas that the yorubas are out to war with them.
Then came the online and offline protests. This was really uneccessary, but whoever planned it knew exactly what he was doing I guess. This is purely a legal matter. If the federal government says it is illegal and you agree with them, make it legal. If you disagree on the illegality with the fg, go to court and prove it is legal. Protests and coming online to shout "Amotekun is here to stay will not change anything". The only thing the protests have succeeded in doing is in giving the southwest the look of an opposition. The protests and solidarity marches are assnine ideas, totally irrelevant and unnecessary.
Then finally, the Secession brouhaha is coming in. People in the southwest are now talking about breaking away. this guys may or may not be part of the political engineering process. Secession is one word hausas don't want to hear and bringing talks like that is meant to condition the average notherner to thinking that the yorubas are now the enemy and no longer the ally.
All in all, it looking good for whoever is trying to undermine certain politicians from the southwest who have political ambitions for 2023.
It is looking good for that nothern politician who is vigorously plotting on how to get to power in 2023. However, the next elections are still far off and we hope we will all come to our senses before then.

Amotekun is here to stay.

The only reason Amotekun would step down is if the FG can guarantee the safety of lives and properties. The FG have proven they cannot. They have immerse themselves in a deep romance with Fulani herdsmen, many of whom have become killer herdsmen.

And so the next way out is a regional security outfit.
The FG is not reliable and it's time Amotekun compliments.

Funny thing in your write up is that you didn't even mention security of the people who have suffered immensely from fulani....

I have not seen a more stvpid people like the Ibos, just look at how they are playing into the hands of the Yoruba's. They are using your tribe well known susceptibility to achieve their presidencial aim and y all are dancing to their tone. If you cant see that no Yoruba wants out of Nigeria (at the moment) then you are very dumb. Next time they throw up this claim, just urge them to go ahead and leave the rest of us in peace. From 2015-2019 Yoruba's were claiming that Buhari was laying and building solid foundation for the country, while the Fulani's killed at will, while country burns, they said Buhari was working. Now that Buhari isnt playing to their time they all of a sudden know he was a massive failure. Know this all this noise is not to leave Nigeria, Ametokun is every regions rights and we must support it, but no one will be allowed to divide Nigeria no matter which region wins 2023. Yoruba can never leave Nigeria unless everyone agrees, they simply using this method to tell the North its them thats holding Nigeria unity, and they can scatter it if not giving the presidency. It now time for the rest of Nigeria and the Ndigbo to disprove this lie. cheer them on but stop insulting us the Northerners, cos its not yours or our fight.
one thing we must understand is no one can blackmail Nigeria into having the presidency period. The North Central, am from, North East and South East has more right to the presidency then the South West. All this noise is for 2023.The moment they clinch the ticket, their media will start painting Nigeria into another heaven like they did before. If you still can't get sense then am sorry.

Don't like joining issues with you northerners, we have no business with you cause you're all failures.. If your people are sensible, with the whole years of heading this nation with iron fist, they should have been able to hold their leaders responsible...Dont worry about igbos , we are fine with or without presidency
