Between Java and kotlin which one is much more preferable

Kotlin is like jollof rice with chicken and goat meat + cold bottle of Tiger Lager.


Java is just white rice and cold water.

Everything is much easier , kotlin eliminates alot of java syntax boilerplate code .

so many other features like extension functions, passing a function as a parameter + several functional programming sugar

unless u write code , u won't understand.

i know you were once a Java developer, that's why you know much about kotlin. As for beginners it will be good if you could start with Java and then move to kotlin. Kotlin has strong hold in Android development while Java remain the king of Enterprise. Kotlin is cool though myself love it but my love for Java is unquantifiable. I code in Java everyday.
