Abductors of Senator George T. Sekibo's wife sentenced to life imprisonment after seven years



Over seven years after two men, Abel Okoro and Vincent Wilson kidnapped the wife of Senator George Thompson-Sekibo; Asime Sekibo and her friends and proceeded to collect a ransom of N10million from their families for their release, a court sitting in Port Harcourt today sentenced them to life imprisonment.


In her Judgement delivery, Justice Elsie Thompson ruled in agreement with the position of the prosecution counsel that the confessional statements by the defendants, which revealed how they conspired to commit the crime were made voluntarily and not by any form of inducement.

But when are we going to read that a Malian or Nigerien herdsman were sentenced for this same cause? Or are they “uncaughtable”

I think the south should keep they eyes open. Our youths are constantly harassed, nightclubs raids, but I don’t read news like this from the north. We really should open our eyes and mind.
You won’t hear that the federal government arrest, persecute anyone for being a Boko Haram but our gallant soldiers are dying fighting them, they can’t even give them reliable ammunition, may not to cause many casualties on the Boko Haram side because any attack against bh is an attack against the north.
