What Nigeria Should do to the USA on Visa Restrictions

As the world gets smaller by day due to technological advancements most advanxed countries will feel threatened by less economically advanced ones for either economic, security or other reasons. They will begin to restrict movement's within their borders for what ever reason they feel will benefit their people and enhance their prosperity.

In the case of the United States of America, USA and Nigeria, restrictions on Visa is not new, the USA had in the past stopped Nigerians from participating in it's DV Visa lottery program which was a legal avenue for many Nigerians to become permanent residents of the USA, as if that was not enough, the USA has in the past few years reduced the number of visas issued to Nigerians and now it is restricting Visa on Nigerians and citizens of other countries.

What these points out is that the USA is working on controlling the number of people coming into it's territory either for economic or security concerns, which is a fundamental right of it's government. No country can tell another country what to do to protect it's people or economy.

If the USA has decided to act this way, there are things Nigeria should do as a nation if its citizens must not be adversely affected by these USA policies.

1. Nigeria should work harder to develop it's economy, like in a family setting, if your economy is okay you will worry less about what your neighbor feeds on. Nigeria should grow her economy to an envious height so that it's citizens will care less about what the USA does with her borders.

2. Nigeria should increase her human capacity, if citizens becomes more productive they will have less time to embark on travel adventures overseas.

3. Nigerians should develop love, Value and Contentment for their country, loving your country is not only about singing the national anthem or looking for what the country can do for you, but it is all about doing your best in any little way to help your country attain greatness. If Nigerians are committed to building their country and get to work with genuine love and commitment, it will achieve greatness within the shortest possible time.

We must not forget that the USA and other developed and advanced countries were built and developed by it's citizens who made numerous sacrifices to get their country's to the envious heights we see today.
